Student of Veterinary Nursing
When are you happiest?
When I’m at home, when I have no work to do, when there’s no assignments. I can just chill out at home with family and friends.
What are you passionate about?
I’m really passionate about animals. That’s why I chose my veterinary nursing degree. I just love animals so much and that’s what led me to my degree.
What is something significant you have achieved?
Before I had my veterinary nursing degree, I did go to uni at QUT. I was really happy with that when I got in because it was a really high OP that the course was. I was really proud of myself that I got it. But after going into it I didn’t like the course, so I dropped it and that’s when I found veterinary nursing.
What do you hope to achieve in 2016?
My course. I should be finishing this year sometime. After my work placement is done, my course is ready to go and I should be able to finish.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I don’t know. I think I come off as a little bit shy at first, but when I get to know people I’m like blabbing out, I can just talk for ages.
What is the greatest risk you’ve taken?
One time when we were younger with my cousins outside, and one of my cousins, his name is Tyrone, he was running onto the road and there was a truck coming. I quickly grabbed him in time before something happened. That was probably one of my biggest risks.
What’s your best advice to give to other people?
Honestly just be happy with what you have, be grateful, be appreciative, anything like that.
What role do your beliefs play in your life?
Everything, from the morning when I wake up, to the end of the day, they play a huge role in my life. I follow it, I love it, that’s about it.
Is there anything you would like to say?
There is human rights, there should be animal rights. Respect the animals, just love them.
